Professor Ken Eaton
PGEC Dental Tutor - Canterbury

Professor Ken Eaton is the PGEC Dental Tutor for Canterbury. After 13 years in general practice, he trained as a periodontist and has been awarded visiting chairs at a number of universities, including the University of Kent. He writes and researches extensively and is currently editor of Oral Health and Dental Management. Ken is a member of the Board of Faculty of the FGDP(UK) and is the President of the European Association for Dental Public Health and the Chair of the Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe.

Ms Christine Osborne
Clinical Dental (Competence)/Retaining and Returning Adviser

Christine is a GDP in Surrey with her own practice and was originally the Retaining and Returning Adviser for the Deanery, supporting and mentoring dentist on career breaks. This role has now expanded and she undertakes the training needs assessment. With 28 years of general practice experience and as an MJDF(UK) tutor and FFGDP(UK) mentor and assessor Christine is in a good position to not only help with the training needs analysis but to provide a wealth of information about training and practising to the applicants that she meets.

Ms Jacqui Elsden
Dental Education Facilitator

Jacqui is the Dental Education Facilitator for the Deanery and is responsible for CPD events and courses for DCPs in the counties of Kent, Surrey & Sussex.  Jacqui is Chairman of NEBDN’s Quality Assurance Committee and is also an NEBDN examiner for the National Diploma Qualification for Dental Nurses.
